Catriona also has considerable experience of English family history research and can help research your ancestors from England.

FEES
BESPOKE RESEARCH
£32 per hour with a minimum research period of one hour.
Before any research starts, an initial consultation is held to discuss your objectives as well as any previous research, records held or information known about the family or house to be investigated. From this consultation, the focus and detail of the research is agreed and documented, along with cost and any expenses associated with conducting the research.

For Scottish family research, expenses normally incurred relate to the £15 day pass for the ScotlandsPeople Centre. However, this charge will be pro-rata in the event your research does not require a full day of research. Should any extensive travel be needed to fulfil your research, this would be discussed and costs agreed in advance.
GIVE A GIFT OF THEIR FAMILY HISTORY
Gift certificates available from £10 and can be used towards family tree packages, house histories or bespoke research.
Packages available from £200

The decision on how many generations are to be researched, as well as whether to include all children of each couple in your direct lines, is up to you.
A professionally printed family tree is included with each family tree package along with a research report documenting the sources of records and transcriptions of birth, marriage and death records. There is also the option of having a narrative report telling the story of your ancestors and the lives they lived in the context of the social and economic circumstances of the time.

The report is brilliant. Thank you. Interesting to see how names were carried from generation to generation and great to finally find out where in Ireland my family came from.

I was adopted as a baby and as I approached my 80th birthday, I decided to find out about my birth family. I had little information but Catriona quickly unearthed details of my background. I'm now in regular contact with 3 siblings which would not have been possible without Catriona's expertise. Many thanks.
